Fire Emblem Engage has many characters that players can recruit as they progress through the main storyline. However, some characters are not available until you complete specific quests.
Still, it’s worth knowing which of these FE Engage units are the best and which ones to avoid, and for that, we have prepared a Fire Emblem Engage tier list where we rank all the characters in the game (so far).
All the characters in FE Engage have their own base stats and unique skills, however, you can also grow and improve your unit to become more powerful as you gain more experience and items. So with that being said, let’s check out the rankings for this current meta:
FE Engage Tier List Rankings Explanation
- Tier S FE Engage (BEST characters) – These are in our opinion the best characters in Fire Emblem Engage as of the current game version.
- Tier A FE Engage (Strong characters) – The tier A ranked units are also pretty strong and can clear content with ease without too much struggle.
- Tier B FE Engage (Decent characters) – These Fire Emblem Engage characters are decently powered and are good for most content challenges.
- Tier C FE Engage (Average characters) – These are your average or even below average FE Engage units, so you shouldn’t rely on them too much.
- Tier D FE Engage (Weak characters) – At the moment as the game currently stands we think that these are the weakest characters in Fire Emblem Engage, and getting to the end-game with these might be a struggle.

January 23, 2023: We have updated our Fire Emblem Engage tier list.
We looked at all aspects of the characters, from their stats to their skills. But it was primarily their stats and how well they played off each other that determined our decision-making process. Here are all the characters in the game that you can use in your party, ranked for this current meta:

There you have it, as it stands we think that Alear, Diamant, Kagetsu, Seadall, Yunaka, and Zelkov are the best characters in Fire Emblem Engage right now.
Of course, everyone will have their own opinions about how strong characters are, this list is just one perspective on the matter and reflects the author’s opinion.
Also, there could and will be changes to this tier list moving forward as the game receives new updates so at any given time a unit that is now ranked as S-tier can become C-tier and vice versa.

Our FE Engage units tier list now comes to an end, but you should keep one thing in mind… even though we have created a ranking of all the characters (excluding elements) from best to worst, in reality, you should play with whatever unit you like the most.
So for example, if you like playing with Anna, then you shouldn’t care that she is ranked on C-rank, plus she’s a beast when combined with Sigurd, especially in the early chapters.
Since everyone’s playstyles are different, we ranked the characters based on our own gameplay and the Fire Emblem Engage community’s opinions from places such as Discord and Reddit.
