Tier List Ranking Meaning
S Tier – These are the best Summoners War monsters in the current game meta. They are a bit overpowered and they shine in all content but specifically PvE. Our suggestion for you would be to invest and level these monsters as fast as possible and use them immediately.
A Tier – You have no luck in getting S-tier monsters? Don’t worry, you can also use these A-tier ones. These characters are still very good to use in any team for most of the PvE content.
B Tier – Not really the best Summoners War monsters out there, but hey, if you don’t have better options, they will do just fine.
C Tier – We’re getting a bit lower on the tier list now, and as you have probably guessed by now, these monsters are not really worth playing with.
D Tier – You should not even think about using these Summoners War monsters unless you have literally just started playing the game and have nothing else to play with, but don’t invest in them too heavily (or at all).

How Did We Create this Summoners War Tier List?
So as with all our tier lists, we do a lot of research before we decide how to rank each character (or monster in Summoners War case). We play the game ourselves but we also browse and read Summoners War communities like forums, Facebook Groups, Reddit, the official Discord server, and of course, we also gain a lot of insight from top Summoners War players.
We mostly focused on 4-star and 5-star monsters. Sure there are also some 3-stars in there, but hey they are there for a reason. A lot of useless 1, 2, and 3 stars were not added to the list, as they will go even beyond the D tier.
When creating your Summoners War team, keep in mind to factor in each monster’s role and synergy with the others inside the team.
Summoners War Best Monsters List
So as you could see from above on our Summoners War tier list there are quite a few monsters that are at the top of the game which are much better than others for both PvE and PvP. Of course with new patches and updates to the game version the list will also change.
Here are the factors that we focused on when we created this Summoners War tier list to find the best monsters in the game:
- The role type
- The monster’s base stats
- The unique skills of each monster
- The DPS output
- The healing they can do to themselves or their allies
This makes us believe that we have come up with a pretty accurate Summoners War Tier list for the current game meta.
Also, as with most things in life, don’t take this list as 100% bulletproof, what works for some might not work for others, and also as the game gets new updates the meta with the best teams and monsters will always change.
So some of these characters can see either a drop or an upgrade in their ranking with any given update.

What is Summoners War?
Summoners War Sky Arena is a gacha fantasy RPG with turn-based action gameplay and with over 1000 monsters that you can summon and play within the game. But with so many monsters to choose from, players can feel a bit overwhelmed and not know which ones to use to form their team.
Well, that’s exactly why we have created this Summoners War tier list. To try and help players (especially beginners) to select the best monsters for their team comp.
But again, please keep in mind that this Summoners War tier list is only meant for PvE content. Sure, some of the top monsters might do good in PvP as well, but we’re going to create a separate Summoners War tier list for PvP in the near future so stay tuned for that.
The whole goal is for each player to assemble and manage the best team of monsters that they can get their hands on and compete for fame and glory in the Sky Arena.
You can decorate your village, engage in PvP battles with other Summoners War players, catch as many monsters as you can, train every monster that you get, complete and explore as many dungeons as you can and of course, try and defeat the raid alongside 3 other players.
There are 5 monster attributes in Summoners War: Light, Dark, Fire, Water, and Wind. The game also has a crafting system where you can craft over 100 items, that include Statues, runes, buildings, and more.
Of course, Summoners War is a gacha type of game similar to AFK Arena and Dislyte, which means that in order to get new characters to play with, you will have to summon them (hence the name of the game).
Some players might dislike gacha games because you’re not always going to get the character that you’d like, so players might end up spending a ton of real-life money to try and get the monsters that they want.

Writing down your list, I noticed that Xiao-Lin, water kung fu girl is on both the A Tier list and the B Tier list. Which list should she really be on?
You’re right. I’ve removed the duplicate. She should only be on the B tier, at least in my opinion.
This tier list is extremely wrong, outdated, and absolutely not for beginners. You put several 3 stars like Naomi which you can use her in just few places, but Mantura is nowhere, an SSS tier monster which you can use him everywhere. I’m repeating over and over to new players not to even think to invest in Lushen, he is mid / late monster and you need godly runes for him. My guess is that whoever made this list is a huge whale and have little to non knowledge about SW at all. Wind art master, sure, he is excellent in pvp, but for toa/ toah I just switch runes to despair and makes toa/h joke. Icaru… Sure, I agree, making trikaru makes everything faster, but till your arena buildings are not upgraded and for that you need a lot of time, Icaru is useless even if you menage to add to him plus 2400 def with high attack…. I can keep going how wrong this list is.

I play the game a lot, and for real, i don’t get how you did that tier list, some monster are ultra old and get no use in pve nowadays, they get outclassed by many other options even as f2p.
I mean it’s ok to have an opinion on some monsters, the problem is some newer players could use that tier list and lose a lot of time on progression by doing it

Really not trying to sound rude but here’s some issues I see that are pretty clear off the bat.
Il be honest this is a horrible tier list filled with misinformation (Looks like its 5+ years old and the author has not played sw in a very long time)
Belladeon is hardly used
Chasun is not used due to fran being free and 10x better
Camilla Skogul and Zaiross not for pve
Talia is in S tier but no Shauna???????? Talia should be a at best and Shauna S
Water homun Jeane Kro Rica Cadiz Tablo Balegyr Tyrone Savanna should all be S for Pve (Balegyr is Raid / Subjugation and Lab God, Svanna good early dung, Cadiz used like everywhere if you have him
same with Kro, The rest make ToaN ToaH + Lab a breeze)
Entire b tier is pretty much garbage for pve
And the worst one of all Lucifer in c tier? He is literally the best pve LD in the game.
Could go on about almost every choice made in this list, and to be honest it should be remade or just plain removed.
If new players were to follow this it would just make more problems for them then anything.

You’re right, the Summoners War Tier list needed an update for a while now, but we’ve been a bit busy with other titles. We have just updated the tier list now with new data for the latest game version that we gathered from in-game, from top teams in the RTA for PvP, and for the best PvE monsters now, which include some of the ones that you have pointed previously such as Lucifer, Cadiz, Zeratul, etc.
