Smite Tier List Ranking Meaning:
S Tier – Straight up these are the most overpowered Smite Gods. They can steamroll everything, and any team is happy to have a player “maining” one of these characters.
A Tier – These are also very good heroes to use, they are almost always some of the top picks in every game for their respective roles.
B Tier – These Smite Gods fall a bit behind the A tier ones, but with some practice and familiarity with their kits, they will still be good picks, when other options are taken.
C Tier – If you’re a skilled Smite player, you might get some benefits in playing a few of these gods, but, only if the situation requires it, and you know what you’re doing, you can do good.
D Tier – While they’re not really unplayable, we would suggest you pick some heroes from a much higher tier if you want an easier game. Unless of course, you’re a total pro, and if that’s the case, then sure go ahead and pick these.
E Tier – We don’t recommend picking these heroes, at all.
How Did We Create this Smite Tier List?
As with all our meta tier lists, we always do a lot of research before publishing them. That’s also the case with this Smite tier list.
We’ve checked the patch notes to get some clues over what might happen in smite season 9, and also checked what the pros are playing with, read lots of threads on the Smite subreddits, and talked with people over the Smite discord.
You should keep in mind that everyone’s gaming experience will vary, a skillful player might find that they have a slight advantage if they pick a lower-tier god to play with, simply because most players won’t know how to properly counter that hero since it’s not very popular.
The same can be said in reverse, if you’re just starting out, and don’t know how to play the game too well, then you should probably stick to the high tiered gods, to make your game much easier and enjoyable.
Overall, we think this is a pretty accurate Smite tier list unless we have missed some things. And if that’s the case, please leave a comment down below and let us know your opinion and suggestions.
Smite Best Gods Ranking Criteria:
What we focused on when ranking the heroes:
- Their role
- Base stats of each god
- Skills and Ultimas
- DPS (damage per second)
- Healing Output
Overall we think that the best Smite Gods in season 9 are: Yemoja, Arachne, Agni, Bastet, King Arthur, Cthulhu, Kukulkan, Odin, and Tsukuyomi.
However, it’s not enough to play with an overpowered Smite god, the team composition is also important, so make sure to pick your heroes based on your team and what’s best suited for you to win the game.
What is Smite?
Smite is a free-to-play MOBA game (multiplayer online battle arena) that was released back in 2014 by Hi-Rez Studios.
Similar to other MOBA games, you will have to pick a hero in this case a god to play with, and the goal is to defeat your opposing team’s minions, and heroes before the time run out.
Smite has put a unique twist on classic MOBA gameplay, by allowing you to control your heroes in a third-person view.
The game also has a large eSports following, with tournaments going on all the time across the world with prize pools of millions of dollars.
As with any MOBA game though, you will encounter some toxic players, so always be ready to mute them straight away in order to have a pleasant game. The game is much better played with friends, especially if you want to boost your rank faster.
You can play Smite on many platforms including Windows, Xbox One, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.
Hopefully, this Smite tier list was able to help you out giving you a few ideas on what Smite god to play for a good season start.
Thanks, good list.
