Alchemy Code is a 3D mobile RPG game developed by gumi Inc. and released worldwide for free for iOS and Android devices. While it’s a similar gacha to other games such as Revived Witch and Arknights, the game still surprises us with awesome graphics, storyline, and animations. Oh… and with hundreds of units.
There are so many different characters in Alchemist Code, each with their own unique abilities and strategies. So how do you find out which ones are good and which ones are the ones to avoid in your team? We’ve put together an Alchemist Code tier list of the best characters to use for this current global version of the game meta. Enjoy!
Alchemist Code Tier List for September 2023
The Alchemist Code tier list is a ranking system that determines the strength of a character in relation to other characters in their class. It was created by using various factors such as base stats, max stats, passives, skills, awakenings, and their overall performance in battle.
These factors were then placed into different categories which were weighted based on importance. The final score was then averaged out across all categories to find a final score per character. This number was then compared against all other characters in their class and ranked accordingly.
This list contains only characters currently playable in the game and does not include future additions or units from the JP version of the game that are not yet released for the global one.
As you can see from our breakdown below; these rankings are not set in stone and do change depending on new content being released or new strategies that become popularized within the community.
The tier list is intended for players who want an idea of where certain characters stand within their own class so they can make informed decisions when creating teams for specific situations or events; however, it does not necessarily reflect how well each character would perform against each other if placed into a similar gameplay scenario. Anyway, let’s begin with the best units in Alchemist Code:

Alchemist Code – Tier B Units
While these units are not the best in Alchemist Code, they are still pretty good! They’re not quite up there with the absolute best (which is why they’re in Tier B rank), but still, they have some really solid advantages over other characters in the game, especially over the lower-ranked ones from below.
Some of these can be particularly useful in specific situations if used right and with plenty of support from others. Either way, these guys are worth considering if you’re looking to build a decent Alchemist Code team and don’t have all the best units available!

Alchemist Code – Tier C Units
These Alchemist Code units are a bit below average, and are kinda okay, but not as good as the characters in the higher tiers. They do have decent stats but still aren’t as strong as others ranked higher!
Still, if you’re just starting out, chances are that you will get to play with some of these for a while, in which case, they won’t be too bad, especially in the early stages of the game.

Final Thoughts
Alright folks, so there you have it, you have reached the end of our Alchemist Code tier list. Hopefully, this is useful to you, especially if you’re starting out and don’t know which units to aim for.
Of course, no tier list is accurate 100%, we all have different play styles and favorite characters when it comes to games such as Alchemist Code, but we do think that this is at least a pretty good representation of the current state of the global version of the game.
Also, we didn’t focus on the Alchemist Code JP units and meta, as it’s not really relevant for players right now.
But when the global version does gets updated, we will try and update this list with new units and change rankings accordingly to buffs and nerfs.
Frequently Asked Questions
We have created this Alchemist Code tier list using the same methodology that we use when creating every tier list for games.
We start off by playing the game ourselves to experiment with different units and team setups, then we inspect what units the top players on the leaderboards such as the seasonal ranked matches are using.
After that, we also gather additional information and suggestions from places such as the official Alchemist Code Discord server, the Reddit community for the global version of the game (not the JP one), the Alchemist Code DB and wiki, and more.
Finally, we transform all of this research into an easy-to-read tier list where we rank the units from the best to the worst according to their overall score.
The best units in Alchemist Code vary from patch to patch and from the global version to the JP (Japanese) one.
But for this current global version of the game, we believe that all the characters that we have ranked under the S tier on our Alchemist Code tier list, are the very best in the game at the moment.
We try to maintain and update every tier list that we have on our site, however since we have hundreds of games to keep an eye on, sometimes we might fall behind updating one or two… nevertheless we always strive to always keep the lists accurate to the latest patch update.
And so while we don’t guarantee that this Alchemist Code tier list is 100% accurate as everyone has their own preferences when playing RPGs such as this, we do hope it provides a helpful guide to those players just starting out.
No, not really. Unlike competitive games that are more eSports-focused, Alchemist Code is a much more casual RPG game that can be enjoyed at your own pace.
You can play with whatever units you have available and still have some fun clearing some (or most) of the content available.
But… it’s also true that in any game there are some characters that are simply better than others, and so if you want an absolute easy time while playing the game (especially if you’re a beginner), then trying to get the best characters in Alchemist Code from the start, can be a good strategy.
