October 11, 2024: We have updated our Diablo 4 tier list.
Diablo 4 Class Tier List

In our tier list, we have ranked the six classes in their own tier based on their strengths and weaknesses.
| Tier | Class |
|---|---|
| S | Spiritborn, Rogue |
| A | Sorcerer, Necromancer |
| B | Druid |
| C | Barbarian |
In the highest tier, S, we have the new class Spiritborn, a class that fights in fast martial arts and has a strong connection to Spirit Guardians as well as the class Rogue which provides swift and accurate ranged and melee abilities.
Moving down to the A tier, we have the Necromancer, a class that strikes a deadly balance between ranged and melee attacks, making it a force to be reckoned with, especially for solo players. Also the Sorcerer is in this rank, boasting powerful crowd control and long-range attacks.
In the B tier, we have the Druid, a unique class that offers shapeshifting abilities and AoE attacks, but unfortunately falls short of the other classes in terms of strength and overall effectiveness. Finally, in the C tier, we have the Barbarian, a pure melee class that unleashes devastating damage upon its enemies.
Diablo 4 Classes Explained
Spiritborn

The newest class was introduced in the latest Diablo 4 Season 6 update and is exclusive to the “Vessel of Hatred” expansion.
He is a versatile warrior who is highy mobile, able to quickly move around the battlefield and fight at strong close-range combat. What makes the Spiritborn stand out is the power of four distinct Spirit Guardians: Jaguar, Gorilla, Eagle and Centipede.
Each spirit provides a different ability, such as increased damage or enhanced mobility. The Spiritborn can combine the strengths of the animal spirits to create unique playstyles.
This class is great for players who want a flexible and mobile class.
Necromancer

The Necromancer class in Diablo IV is a force to be reckoned with. With a vast array of moves that can be strategically deployed in any given situation, this class is a master of adapting to different play styles.
Not only that, but the Necromancer provides a perfect balance of ranged and melee attacks, making it an exceptional choice for players who prefer to go it alone.
As a solo player, the Necromancer class truly shines. With the ability to summon undead minions and use them to control the battlefield, you can easily take on even the toughest of enemies.
And with a diverse set of skills that can be customized to your specific play style, the Necromancer class is a versatile and powerful option that is not to be underestimated.
Rogue

The Rogue is a master of speed and precision, capable of taking down even the toughest foes with ease. With their swift movements, they can evade attacks and maneuver around enemies, making them a deadly force on the battlefield.
Their impressive crowd control abilities allow them to stun, blind, and knock down enemies, leaving them vulnerable to attacks.
While their melee skills are certainly impressive, the Rogue truly shines with their range attacks. Their expert marksmanship allows them to hit targets from a distance with incredible accuracy, making them a versatile and deadly class.
In short, if you want a Diablo 4 class that can handle any situation with grace and skill, the Rogue is an excellent choice.
Sorcerer

The Sorcerer in Diablo IV is a ranged specialist, with an impressive arsenal of spells and powerful attacks. If you prefer keeping your distance and controlling the battlefield from afar, then the Sorcerer is definitely the class for you.
With a little bit of practice and strategy, this class can dominate lower levels and make you feel invincible.
However, things start to get a bit tricky as you progress to higher levels, as some enemies will have immunities and resistances to your spells.
But fear not, with the right gear and skill build, the Sorcerer can still hold her own in even the toughest battles.
Barbarian

If you’re the type of player who loves to get up close and personal with your enemies, then the Barbarian is the perfect class for you. This pure melee class is all about dealing heavy damage, with a range of buffs and builds to choose from.
One of the best things about the Barbarian is its tank-like build, which makes it an excellent choice for solo players. While it may start out slow, it quickly gains momentum and can push through tough battles that other classes might struggle with.
As you invest more time into the Barbarian, you’ll find yourself becoming more and more devastating on the battlefield. And while the Sorcerer may hit a ceiling at a certain point, the Barbarian just keeps getting beefier and more powerful.
Druid

The Druid is a versatile class that brings a lot of unique mechanics to the game. With their shapeshifting abilities, they can transform into a variety of animals to deal devastating damage in close combat.
They also offer powerful AoE attacks that can decimate hordes of enemies.
While not as popular as some of the other classes, the Druid is a great choice for players who like to experiment with unique summons and builds.
With the ability to control the battlefield and turn the tide of battle in their favor, Druids can be a force to be reckoned with in the hands of a skilled player.
