What is Sword Master Story?

Sword Master Story is a free-to-play idle and action (hack and slash) RPG for iOS and Android. The game developed and published by Super Planet was released worldwide on September 17, 2020.

Sword Master Story features over 40 powerful characters, but with so many heroes to choose from, players can’t help but wonder which ones are the best. To help them make an informed decision, we’ve created this tier list.

Sword Master Story features many RPG elements, including character updates and engaging battles. Players can level up, fight in the PVE story mode, or test their skills against other players in the PVP Arena. There are over 40 heroes to collect as they go on adventures and progress through various progression systems.

Sword Master Story Gameplay

Sword Master Story has single-player adventure battles (the main storyline) and multiplayer ones such as guild battles and PVP against other players.

In the story mode, you can complete stages and quests while earning rewards like gold coins and experience points.

When you’re tired of clearing PVE stages, you can challenge other players using your own teams of characters in duels at the Arena.

Sword Master Story Reviews

The game has very high review ratings both on iOS and Android platforms. At the time of writing this tier list, Sword Master Story has a 4.6 out of 5 stars rating on Google Play and 4.8 out of 5 stars on the App Store.

But…

While Sword Master Story is a fun experience, and players are pretty happy with the story and the way the game is designed, this is after all a gacha game. Because of that, there will be an inevitable P2W (Pay to win) wall that free-to-play players will hit, and once that happens, the only way to progress further and deeper into the end-game and PVP arena is through spending real-life money to buy packs and upgrades for your characters.

Still, the game is free and has spectacular graphics and level designs, so you might want to give it a try anyway, even if you will hit that P2W wall, you can still enjoy it, albeit at a much slower rate than the big spenders.
