LoL ADC Tier List 12.22 – Best ADC Champions

If you’re looking to try out ADC for the first time but aren’t quite sure where to start, we’ve put together a League of Legends ADC tier list to see all the top champions in this LoL meta.

ADC (Attack Damage Carry) is an archaic term used to refer to a champion that deals strong, continuous damage with their basic attacks and scales with attack-related stats such as attack damage, critical strike chance, and attack speed.

A common misconception is to think that an ADC needs to build a lot of attack damage in order to be effective. While stacking as much damage is generally a good strategy, some ADCs are viable when built for other reasons than pure physical damage output (like Kog’Maw or Tristana).

This often makes them more flexible in terms of itemization as well as playstyle compared to some other roles such as APCs or Supports.

As you’ve probably noticed, ADCs are tough to play. This is because they have limited escape tools, weaker defensive abilities, and higher mechanical skill requirements than any other role.

As a result of these factors combined with the fact that it’s more difficult to carry as an ADC than any other role in the game (as it requires both high mechanics and knowledge of the game), there is a very low chance that you’ll win games without having either great teammates or going against bad opponents.

This tier list is a ranking of the best ADC champions in the current League of Legends meta and patch 12.22. The champions on our list are ranked from the very best (S tier) to the worst (D tier) in terms of how well they perform in their role.

Changelog (November 28, 2022): We have updated our ADC tier list

ADC Tier S Champions

Best ADC Champions in League of Legends

These are the best ADC champs in League of Legends for the current meta. They’re likely to succeed in any match you play with them, whether you play ranked or if you want to have some fun trying a new lane such as the ADC one.

  • Caitlyn
  • Jhin
  • Kai’Sa
  • Miss Fortune
  • Samira
  • Varus

ADC Tier A Champions

Tier A ADC Champs

These ADC LoL champions are also very good in this patch, but they are a little bit below the S-tier ones in terms of raw damage power and abilities. Still, they are very good at carrying and can do just fine without that great support from your teammates.

  • Ashe
  • Draven
  • Ezreal
  • Jinx
  • Nilah
  • Syndra
  • Tristana
  • Twitch
  • Vayne

Tier B Champions

Tier B ADC Champs

These are good ADC champs that are used by many in this patch. They might not be as great as some of the higher-ranked LoL champions on this list, but if you like playing with some of these then you should go right ahead and pick them for your next match.

  • Karthus
  • Kog’Maw
  • Lucian
  • Seraphine
  • Sivir
  • Swain
  • Xayah
  • Yasuo
  • Ziggs

ADC Tier C Champions

Tier C ADC Champions

Though these ADC champions have great kits, their lower stats and less-than-ideal abilities lead them to be picked less by players and perform poorly as a result. But with that being said, they’re still a viable option if you know how to use them effectively.

  • Aphelios
  • Cassiopeia
  • Kalista
  • Vayne
  • Veigar

ADC Tier D Champions

Tier D Champions

These champions are considered non-meta picks in LoL patch 12.22 because they have lower win rates or situational viability. However, some of them (though not all) do have niche uses that can be very useful if played correctly but this does not make them as effective in most cases compared to meta picks.

  • Akshan
  • Quinn
  • Zeri

What is ADC?

ADC or Attack Damage Carry is a style of champion in League of Legends that focuses on dealing strong amounts of damage with auto attacks while scaling well into the game.

ADCs are usually melee or ranged physical damage dealers (the names depend on what kind of champion they are) and deal most of their damage through AD (Attack Damage), which scales off their attack speed, crit chance, and other stats.

ADC Tier List – Takeaway

We hope that you have enjoyed reading this article and found it informative. We know there is a lot of information to take in when it comes to League of Legends ADC and we tried our best to cover everything!

We also understand that not everyone has time to read all this so if you want a quick summary of what makes an ADC good or bad, or how we have created this ADC tier list, then here it is:

Our ADC Tier List is a list of champions in League of Legends sorted by their viability in their respective lane. The list was created by us with help and feedback from the LoL community, as well as win-rate statistics from the game itself.

The tier list is constantly updated as new patches are released. So some of the best ADC champions that are at the top right now might go down in rankings if they get nerfed, and some lower ones might rise if they get buffed. So always come back here and check out and see if we have updated our League of Legends ADC tier list.

Bookmark this page by hitting CTRL+D on your keyboard or by pressing on the little star in the browser, or clicking on the heart button on this page (right-hand side of the screen). This way you can come back here easily whenever you need to check new rankings.

These are just suggestions based on our experience. If a champion isn’t listed here it means that they are not a good fit for the ADC role in League of Legends or that they have a very low pick rate in the current meta.

But in the end, you should play whatever your heart desires and just have fun, it’s a game after all, but don’t do that when you’re playing high-ranking matches at Platinum+ as your fun might cause others to lose their rank!

Ultra Rapid Fire – Frequently Asked Questions

What is a tier list?

A tier list is a meta-ranking of characters in a competitive game. A tier list organizes the characters based on their general competitive performance and assigns them to a “tier”, or group of characters. Tier lists are created by taking into account a character’s attributes, such as their stats, abilities, how hard they are to master, how viable they are in the current meta, and how they interact with others in their team.

Is ADC the hardest role in LoL?

Yes, most League of Legends players agree that ADC is the hardest role to play. This class of champions isn’t easy to master and often finds itself under constant threat from opposing teams.

ADCs must have a keen understanding of the map and be able to constantly move around, avoiding enemy attacks while also inflicting as much damage as possible.

If you want a low-key, relaxed experience when playing League of Legends, then it’s best to choose another champion type rather than ADC.

Who is the strongest ADC?

The best ADC in League of Legends is currently Caitlyn. She has a very high win-rate percentage and it’s arguably one of the top ADCs in the current LoL Patch (12.22). Still, there are others that are just as well such as Kai’Sa, Jhinx, Miss Fortune, and Varus.
