Genshin Impact Reroll Guide – Two Fast Methods (April 2024)

You’re probably on this page because you had terrible luck in getting good characters at the start of your game and you’re now searching for a Genshin Impact reroll guide, right?

Don’t worry, we understand that… since Genshin Impact has a gacha system and some of us have terrible luck when it comes to summoning good characters in gacha games, we’ve created this Genshin Impact Reroll Guide, so that we can show you exactly how to reroll and start the game fresh with possibly better characters than before.

Also if you don’t want to reroll but still want to receive some awesome freebies in-game check out our Genshin Impact codes page.

Before you go and read any further, you should keep in mind that rerolling in Genshin Impact is not as easy as in other games. You will have to watch a lot of unskippable cutscenes before you can have access to the “wish” gacha system.

But there are still ways to do it fast enough, so let’s get started:

Genshin Impact Reroll Guide

How to reroll in Genshin Impact
How to reroll in Genshin Impact

In the current game patch, there are only 2 ways that you can efficiently use in order to reroll in Genshin Impact.

1st Method – Reaching Adventure Rank 5

  • This will take about 18 minutes
  • You get 16 summons

If you want better weapons and don’t mind getting a 5-star character, you should do this method, especially if you don’t want to waste too much time rerolling.

2nd Method – Achieving Adventure Rank 7

This method will take you a lot longer, almost double the time it takes you to do the first method, about 36 minutes in total.

  • You get 30 summons
  • You can get Venti.

How to reach Adventure Rank 5 (AR5)

It doesn’t take too much to achieve adventure rank 5 in Genshin Impact. All you have to do is complete the main story quests as fast as possible and after that, you unlock the “Wish” gacha feature.

So, after you start the game again, keep on grinding those main quests until you get:

  • 1 – AF (Acquaint Fate) from Katheryne
  • 1 – AF from the tutorial
  • 10 – AF as a reward for reaching AR5

You will then have to choose which of the three banners to summon from, so you have to choose between Noelle, Venti, and normal ones. Summon the banner from Noelle, with a cost of 8AF, and then spend the rest of AF on the normal banner.

If you have a bunch of Masterless Stardust you can even buy more AF from the in-game store.

How to reach Adventure Rank 7 (AR7)

Alright, so like we previously said, you need to play a bit longer to reach AR7, so after you’re done getting to AR5, just keep on going and finish main quests until you achieve adventure rank 7. After you do that, you should now have:

  • 1 – AF from Katherine
  • 1 – AF from playing the tutorial
  • 10 – AF as a reward for reaching AR5 (check your in-game mail)
  • 1600 – Primogems as a reward for reaching AR7 (again, see your in-game mail) (Update: this reward is now gone)

So the only extra thing that you get for getting to AR7 is the 1600 Primogems. You can use these Primogems to buy either 10 acquaint fates (AF) or 10 Intertwined Fates.

Since it costs 8 AF to summon from the Noelle banner, you should do it twice, and this means that you will get 20 summons. After you do that, you use the rest of Primogems and masterless stardust to buy more AF, or if you want you can purchase Intertwined Fates that you can use to summon Venti.

Genshin Impact Reroll – Requirements

You don’t have to do too much on the technical side to reroll, you simply have to create a new miHoYo account with only a user and password and you can add an email to that account later when you are satisfied with your reroll results.

Earlier, when Genshin Impact was released, players had to create accounts with a new email address every time they wanted to reroll, and that was very time-consuming.

So for now at least you only need one email address that you can link to your account after you’re done rerolling.

Can you get banned from rerolling in Genshin Impact?

The simple answer is: NO. You’re not doing anything that’s against the game rules, and you’re not selling these accounts, so you have nothing to worry about.

Genshin Impact Characters to Wish For When Rerolling

Pretty much any 5-star character will be a good start. The summon rate of a 5-star hero is already low at only 0.6%, so trying to get a specific 5-star will be very time-consuming unless you get lucky of course.

To put it into perspective, you have a 5.1% chance to get a 4-star character and a whopping 94.3% chance to summon a 3-star weapon.

So if you get ANY 5-star hero, our suggestion would be to KEEP it and start playing and enjoying the game.

But hey, if you really want to hear our answer here it is:

Try and go after Xiao, if you want to start with a strong 5-star attacker. Xiao has an amazing crit rate and DPS output, but he’s lacking a bit in the HP department so you will have to be careful in certain fights.

As for weapons, go for the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, which is a great weapon for Xiao, it is also featured alongside the Primordial Jade Cutter sword.

But you should only try to pull for these weapons if you have good characters that can use them and a ton of Primogems that you don’t care if you lose them all.

    • Hi there, glad you have found this guide helpful. Unfortunately, you need an email address to create a new account. Hint: If you have a gmail account you can make “unique” variations of it if you’re using “.” or “+” sign in your address when signing up. Here’s an example: Let’s say your gmail email account is: [email protected] and you have already used that on Genshin, instead of creating a new gmail account that’s unique to use again, all you have to do when you sign up on Genshin is to add a dot or a plus sign like so: [email protected] or [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], you get the point. All these email addresses are unique in the eyes of every website or app or game. But the good part is that they all redirect your emails to your original gmail address: [email protected]

      Hope this helps,
      Stephen (MetaTierList)
