Dota 2 Tier List (April 2024) – Best Heroes Ranked

Hi there, and welcome to our Dota 2 tier list where we rank every hero in the game according to their skills and versatility in the current Dota 2 meta.

The meta is constantly changing, and heroes that were once considered strong in certain scenarios are now considered weak. As such, we’re updating our Dota 2 tier list regularly so that you can pick the best hero for your next match.

Dota 2 Tier List – Quick Intro

Dota 2 is the 2nd most played game on Steam and it’s one of the most complex games in esports.

The game has been around for a long time, but there are still many things that even the pros don’t know about it.

Our Dota 2 tier list will help you learn a little bit more about which of the game’s numerous heroes are “good” or “bad” in this meta and why they’re ranked as such.

The meta is constantly evolving in Dota 2, so it’s important to stay up to date on the best heroes in the current patch. We’ll be going over the best heroes in each role for 7.32c in this tier list.

It’s been a few weeks since the last patch hit, and the meta has been relatively stable since then. However, many of the stronger cores have received nerfs, making them less attractive to play and essentially changing the overall tier list.

February 5, 2023: We updated our Dota 2 Tier List.

Dota 2 Tier- S heroes

Best Dota 2 Heroes

S Tier Dota 2 Heroes are the best heroes in the game. They’re usually picked first in drafts, have high win rates, and can be used in any situation.

In high-level play, where every decision counts, these heroes come into their own as reliable favorites due to their sheer power and versatility as well as their innate ability to work together with teammates regardless of experience level or communication quality (or lack thereof).

Dota 2 Tier D heroes

Tier D Heroes

We think that these are the weakest heroes in Dota 2 in the current meta. But if you’ve got the skills, then sure, go ahead and play with these, but even if you’re having fun, you might receive some toxic comments from your teammates for picking one of these for your team comp.

What is DOTA 2?

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game is played in matches between two teams of five players, each of whom controls a powerful character, known as a “hero”, who has unique abilities and characteristics.

The Dota 2 client calculates MMR as a numbered rating to represent a player’s skill level.

This rating is used in matchmaking. Ranked matches in Dota 2 put two teams against each other to compete for the highest rank possible in the game’s competitive ranked matchmaking.

This can be a bit difficult to grasp; all you want is your hero on the field, but here are all these other factors that affect how well you play him or her! You’re not just playing against another team – you have an entire metagame around you too!

Explaining Dota 2 MMR

MMR, or Matchmaking Rating, is your skill level. MMR is hidden and not shown anywhere in the game. It’s used to match players of equal skill levels against each other to ensure everyone has fun and enjoys the game. The higher your MMR, the better you are at Dota 2.

A common misconception is that if you have a low MMR then you’re bad at the game—this isn’t true! Everyone starts with a low MMR when they first start playing Ranked matches as part of their 10 placement games (where it’s called Normal).

After these 10 games are played and analyzed by Valve’s matchmaking algorithm, people are placed into one of many different tiers based on how good they were compared to other players during their placement matches (or normal queue).

Dota 2 Tier List – Takeaway

Dota 2 is an extremely complex game and sometimes even the pros are not sure who’s the best.

The amount of variables in Dota 2 is immense, with most matches being decided by a combination of individual skill, teamwork, and drafting.

Because of this complexity, it’s difficult to make a tier list that will be accurate for more than a couple of months at a time.

However, we believe that our Dota 2 tier list from above is a good starting point for understanding how the game works and what each hero’s strengths and weaknesses are.

It’s important to note that this list is not definitive; there are many other factors that could influence your decision when choosing who to play in Dota 2.

The point of this Dota 2 tier list is not to say that every hero in a certain tier is the same and should be treated equally.

It’s meant to give you an idea of what heroes are good at doing, so you can make better decisions when playing ranked games. After all, if you know what champions excel at, then it will be easier for you to choose one that fits into your team composition or counters theirs.

What is a tier list?

A tier list is a list of characters or items ranked by how effective they are. In the case of Dota 2, it’s characters.
Tier lists can be used for many things: choosing which character to play, learning about balance changes in the meta, and so on. A lot of people rely on them heavily when choosing their character; I’m one of those people!

How did we create this Dota 2 tier list?

This list is based on the opinions of professional and casual players, as well as our own experience playing Dota 2. It will change over time as new patches are released or heroes become popular in the meta. Our goal is to provide you with an easy way to see which heroes are popular at the moment and which ones are not. We do that by also taking suggestions and feedback from multiple Dota 2 resources such as leaderboard and ranking sites, Discord, Reddit, and more.
