Echoes of Mana has just released a couple of weeks ago, but that doesn’t stop us from trying to pinpoint which are the best heroes in-game currently.
Of course, as with any game that’s new, things are going to change with more updates coming to the game, but for now, we think that this Echoes of Mana tier list is pretty complete.
But before we dive into the tier list, here’s a quick note about our rankings and what each tier means:
Echoes of Mana Tier List Ranking Meaning
- Tier S Echoes of Mana Characters – Simply put, these are currently the most OP characters in the game at the moment.
- Tier A Echoes of Mana Characters – These are also excellent Echoes of Mana heroes, they are good in any game content.
- Tier B Echoes of Mana Characters – These are your average Echoes of Mana characters, can still be used but not that great.
- Tier C Echoes of Mana Characters – These EoM characters are not that good but also not that bad, don’t upgrade too much.
- Tier D Echoes of Mana Characters – You should probably avoid playing with these unless you don’t have another choice.
- Tier F Echoes of Mana Characters – These should not be upgraded and are best used for fodder and for resources.

S Tier Characters – Echoes of Mana Tier List
These are the best characters in Echoes of Mana. At the moment they are OP (overpowered) and they can be safely ascended and upgraded to their fullest potential as they can clear any content in the game without breaking a sweat. You should focus on collecting these EoM characters first.

A Tier Characters – Echoes of Mana Tier List
These are also some great Echoes of Mana characters. Although they are not as OP as the S-tier ones, they are still good to be played in all content of the game, and they can be safely ascended and upgraded.

B Tier Characters – Echoes of Mana Tier List
These are your average Echoes of Mana characters. While they are not as great as the S or A tier ones, they can still clear content with ease if you invest a bit of resource into them.
You should be careful not to overspend your resources on them though as you’re probably going to upgrade with more powerful characters from this Echoes of Mana tier list when you get the change.

On our Echoes of Mana tier list C-tier we find the heroes that are slightly below average, meaning that while they can get through some battles, victories are not always assured. You should probably only play with these if you have nothing else to use.

D Tier Characters – EoM Tier List
If you’re just starting out these D-tier Echoes of Mana heroes are probably fine to be played for a couple of levels and areas, but as you progress more into the main story and quests and content becomes more difficult you’ll have to swap these for better characters.

The F Tier are the worst characters in Echoes of Mana. Hey, this can always change if Square Enix drops a new update tomorrow and buffs some of these, but as they stand they are not that good to be used in any team comp. so our recommendation would be to avoid these.

How We Created This Echoes of Mana Tier List?
With every tier list that we publish here on our site, we strive to do a lot of research before we give it the green light and make it live for all the players to see.
That’s exactly what we also did with this Echoes of Mana tier list. We played the game for a bit ourselves, also checked what some of the top players are using to dominate the content, and then we’ve also taken a peek at the official Discord Server, the global Facebook group, and the Reddit EoM community.
Also as you can see, the four-star heroes in Echoes of Mana are dominating the top of our rankings in this tier list. It’s not a wonder then that they are harder to summon with gacha pulls. Still, some 3-star heroes are also pretty good.
Sure the game is still new, and further patches and updates can drastically change these rankings, but for now, we believe this is a pretty accurate list.

What is Echoes of Mana about?
Echoes of Mana is a brand new Gacha RPG from the legendary studio Square Enix. The mobile game is set after the successful Mana series games from the same developer.
Echoes of Mana was released globally on Android and iOS on 18 April 2022 and it is free to play.

Great 2D Visuals
The 2D animations and visuals are excellent, but then again it’s what we’re used to coming from Square Enix.
You have awesome designed graphics and amazing effects for all the skills and combat action, and the character design is cute and bright as well.
Echoes of Mana Gameplay
The gameplay is fast-paced with a focus on non-stop action. Although as in many gacha games, you will have to get quite lucky or spend some real money if you want to get the best Echoes of Mana characters.
Another negative point for some is that the game does feature an auto-play option.
Other than that, there are plenty of positives such as an immersive world filled with adventure, numerous quests, tough monsters, and epic loot.
You are guided by the Mana Goddess through all your adventures and battles, and you will have to embark on a journey in search of the most powerful sword in the world that is the only way to save all life from evil.
Currently, there are over 20 characters in Echos of Mana, and some are not that great, as you can tell from our Echos of Mana tier list above.
Echoes of Mana Reviews From Players
The game gets a score of 4.5 out of 5 on Google Play and a near-perfect 4.8 / 5 on the App Store.
Players are very content so far with the game, but that said, it’s still pretty early, with the game just being released, so some of the ratings will surely change down the line, depending on how bad the microtransactions are going to get.
Oh yeah, speaking of microtransactions, this being a gacha game that’s similar to Dislyte, and Alchemy Stars and also developed and published by Square Enix, you should expect it to be heavily on the pay-to-win side if you want to become the ultimate player in the game.
If you’re just having fun and playing casually then you don’t really need to spend anything and you can still enjoy all of the beautiful things that Echos of Mana has to offer.

What is the base for this tier list? OP knowledge? Becouse its much different from the Altema JP tier list.
Hi there, It’s not really all that different from Altema, but then again their tier list is for the Japanese version of the game, which surely has way ahead on updates over the global one. Also, every tier list is subjective, this is just our opinion for the current game meta.
